Tracks 4×4 Tagalong is a family-owned and operated business that helps people to explore the remote beauty of Australia.

From the wet north to the dry interior, from the deserts to the sea, we have a real love of the Australian Outback and love sharing it with people just like you. Operated by Adam and his team, Tracks 4×4 Tagalong is proud to call Australia home.

  • Adam has a long history exploring Australia, taking his first trip around the country in a Ford Falcon Ute back in 1989. This ignited a passion to travel more extensively across Australia, with Adam finding a way to combine work and play as a remote solar system specialist.

    A few years later, Adam had a change of career when he joined the NSW Ambulance service. After some time in Sydney, Adam was lucky enough to be offered Bourke as his home station. With a deep love for the Outback and the people who call it home, Adam became an invaluable member of the local community. Over time, Adam learned lessons from country and honed his existing skills as a true Outback explorer.

  • Tracks 4×4 Tagalong is a way to share our love for the Outback in a safe and comfortable package. We know the country, understand the gear, and carry all the latest communications equipment. A fully equipped first-aid kit and defibrillator are available, and Adam himself is always available to use his extensive skills and lend a helping hand.

    Adam is passionate about sharing his love for the Australian Outback through exploration and adventure. After travelling across this amazing land since he was 19, and sharing so many memories with family and friends along the way, the only thing left to do was welcome others along for the ride.

    I'd like to thank Adam for another exciting journey through the North Simpson Desert and across the Madigan line. As always, the trip was well run and managed, with spectacular scenery and a remote element that was truly amazing. The social interaction of an evening was always great fun, leaving those in the group good mates and ready for more. 

    Over the last few years I have also done a Cape trip, Hay River trip, and Darling River run with Tracks 4x4 Tagalongs all of which were fantastic, as well as a Victorian High Country trip which we will never forget, the tracks, camping and scenery was second to none.

    Adam is a true professional with a vast knowledge in the off road adventure world who conducts himself in a friendly manner and at the same time brings the security that comes with at least 30 years of 4wd experience to make every trip a true adventure. I’d follow him anywhere and would highly recommend Tracks 4x4 Tagalong for any adventure trip.

    We were thrilled with the skill, care and attention that Adam provided when we did his tag along trip on the Hay River Track and Madigan line. Due to a medical condition, we were somewhat anxious about travelling into the remotest parts of Australia and Adam’s background as a remote area Paramedic as well as his comprehensive levels of first aid and communications equipment made us comfortable to take the journey.

    Inevitably, and probably due to our lack of experience, when we got bogged Adam demonstrated his expertise and patience to safely extract us from trouble and have us on our way.

    This was the trip of a lifetime with the most picturesque scenery and great company. We would highly recommend such a tour and in such good company.
