After a weekend or mid week escape? Join us on our two day Caves to Caves tour travelling along some great dirt tracks and visiting an old ghost town and deserted silver mining area.
Starting just out of Jenolan Caves we meet at the National park entry. From here you are straight on a dirt road and within 20 minutes you are crossing creeks and climbing hills! We head for lunch next to a beautiful river, and depending upon the time of year, you’ll have time for a refreshing swim, before we’re off again with so much more to see!
From our beautiful river lunch spot we are now heading to a ghost town, with relics of its mining past and old mines to explore. This is where we spend our night, with plenty of time to wander around and take it all in, go for a drive down to the historic cemetery and take some photo’s of the beautiful church and government buildings that hark back to the hay day of this once thriving town.
After a slow start the next morning we will begin our track down to Wombeyan Caves, driving through some magnificent forest areas along some great little tracks. Our aim is to arrive early enough to walk through the caves or for those eager to get home, its not far to the Hume Hwy and back into Sydney.
This is an easy trip out of Sydney, and a great little tour for those keen to get out of town for a couple of days and have some fun!
Set off early on the day or why not stay the night before the tour at Oberon and meet us at 9am.
All wheel drive SUV’s are welcome on this tour…an easy, fun filled couple of days packed with history and magnificent scenery.
